Directions

We are about one hour west of Rockford, IL

From the east: Get on I-90 and take it west heading towards Rockford. As you get near Rockford take the Rte 20 Cherry Valley, Freeport, Galena exit (NOT Business Route 20) and continue heading west. Stay on Rte 20 and you'll go past Freeport (do not take business 20) and Elroy. You'll pass Rte 78 North. Stay on Rte 20 until you get to Highway 78 South. Take Highway 78 South. After a while, Highway 78 will bend to the right after the golf course, but stay straight and take S. Ridge Road, a gravel road. You'll come to an intersection for E. Morseville Rd. Don't turn, keep going straight. Follow the white CITW signs along the gravel road. S. Ridge Road curves around the hilltop. Don't turn right, stay straight (veer to your left). Go around the bend and turn right at the intersection. There is a farm on the corner. Turn right and continue down S. Ridge Road. At the intersection of E. Piroke Rd. and S. Ridge Road, Ridge turns to the right. Keep going straight, which is Randecker Rd. After you go over the second hill, you'll see a small and humble entrance for Christ in the Wilderness on the right hand side. Turn into the wooded driveway and go straight. The road will take you right into the grassy parking lot. Walk up the hill to the main house if someone hasn't already come out to greet you. Happy trails! We look forward to your visit
